Long Beach, Calif. Launches 24/7 Mattress Recycling Pilot Program

The Long Beach Public Health Department in California is accepting mattresses for recycling through a new program.

The new pilot program will run for 90 days and will allow residents to drop off and recycle used mattresses in a designated area. The area will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

“This pilot mattress drop-off program will offer our community more opportunities to responsibly dispose of their used mattresses,” said Mayor Rex Richardson. “By offering round-the-clock access, we are making it easier for residents to reduce waste and make a positive environmental impact.”
