Pensacola, Fla., will restart its recycling pick-up program next year. It is accepting proposals for an MRF to take the materials.

The city will partner with the non-profit The Recycling Partnership to restart Pensacola’s curbside collections using city-owned trucks. However, the materials don’t yet have a place to go. Now, the city has put out a “request for proposals” for an MRF to take recyclables.

Reeves, Pensacola Mayor. “And it's what we've learned through this process of reflection and coming back with Recycling 2.0.”
