Over the weekend, protesters showed up at the recycling center in Claylands Road, Bishops Waltham, with signs that read “Save our tip—again!”
The protesters are asking Hampshire County Council to reconsider its proposals to close 12 household waste and recycling centers. The council’s plan is to fill a financial gap of £175 million, and the 12 sites, out of 24, could be shut down in phases.
