Veolia Plans to Invest $300 Million Annually into Australia

Veolia is looking to make large, global investments in Western Australia to expand its ground on waste and recycling.

Veolia is looking to make large, global investments in Western Australia to expand its ground on waste and recycling.

The company is looking to invest $300 million annually in the area and looks to expand its current interests to include solar and wind energy projects. Richard Kirkman, Veolia Australia and New Zealand chief executive said that Australia is one of the top three locations for investment in Veolia’s global portfolio.

Kirkman explained to The West Australian that the area has the right policy environment for water and waste.

“It lends itself to investment, to us bringing in technology, people,” said Kirkman. “This is a very investable country and a very investable state.”
