WMI Announces Recycle America Alliance President

Houston – Waste Management Inc. (WMI) has appointed Steven T. Ragiel president of the company’s Recycle America Alliance. The alliance, formed in January, currently includes the Peltz Group, Milwaukee, and WMI. More members may join in the future. Ragiel joined WMI in 1990 as a regional recycling manager in Atlanta. From 1992 to 1997, Ragiel led WMI’s recycling operations in Europe and Asia, developing composting, fiber-fuel, plastics, glass and waste-paper-recovery operations. He has been WMI’s vice president of recycling and trading since 1997.
