Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Edward Humes visited Purdue University Northwest on Thursday to discuss his new book, “Garbology: Our Dirty Love Affair with Trash—and the Way Back.” More than 150 students and staff attended his lecture, where he discussed his inspiration for the book.

Humes also led a discussion of students and environmental experts on Friday titled, “Garbology: A PNW Perspective.” His visit to Purdue University Northwest is part of the university’s “One Book/One University” program.
