Aluminum Can Recycling Rate Declines

Cleveland -- The recycling company Alcan Inc. recently reported that the national recycling rate for aluminum beverage cans has fallen by approximately 50 percent, although 70 percent of Americans reportedly are recycling cans. The company conducted a study that revealed an incremental but steady decline in aluminum can recycling since 10 years ago when the recycling rate was approaching 70 percent.
