EPA Certifies CAT Diesel Engine

Peoria, Ill. -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has certified a Caterpillar engine for offering clean diesel engines that are EPA-compliant in the heavy- and medium-duty categories. Production of the 2004 model year ACERT C15, offered in 435 to 550 horsepower, will begin in the third quarter of 2003.
