Seattle -- The National Electronics Product Stewardship Initiative (NEPSI), which is partially funded by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), met here Friday to discuss the future of electronics recycling in the United States. Several participants in NEPSI have expressed frustration over the difficulties of establishing a national policy on e-waste, but according to news agencies, the meeting was successful because representatives from industry, government and environmental interests concurred the burden of e-waste recycling should fall to manufacturers. NEPSI will meet twice more this year.
