Municipalities Participate in Multi-Party Approach to E-cycling

Phoenix — Nxtcycle, an electronic recycling (e-cycling) company, has released the results of it 2002 Electronics Recycling Shared Responsibility Program. The program brings together consumers, municipalities, retailers and electronics manufacturers to share responsibility of properly managing, reusing and processing obsolete consumer electronics. According to Nxtcycle, a total of 38,500 devices containing cathode ray tubes (CRTs) were collected at 16 special event collections in seven states and at 19 permanent drop-off sites in three states from August to December, 2002.
