Rutland, Vt. -- Casella Waste Systems Inc. has announced it will complete the sale of its non-core recycled commodities brokerage businesses in Passaic, N.J., to employees who currently operate the business. The timing of the sale requires it to be reflected in the company’s fiscal year 2003 results and also requires the business to be reclassified as a continuing operation in fiscal year 2003 and the prior two years. Therefore, the company’s fourth quarter and year-end earnings release and conference call that was scheduled June 12 will be postponed.
