States Continue to Oppose Clean Air Rules

Washington, D.C. -- Fourteen states and several cities including New York, San Francisco and Washington, D.C., are trying to block a change to the Clean Air Act that is expected to go into effect Dec. 26. The states disagree with the regulations that allow older industrial plants to modernize without installing pollution-control devices. The states filed suit in the U.S. Court of Appeals.
