Four carton manufacturers — Tetra Pak, Elopak, Evergreen Packaging and SIG Combibloc — formed the Carton Council, with the stated purpose of advancing improvements to carton recycling infrastructure in the United States.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Washington, has released its “Inventory of U.S. Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Sinks: 1990-2007” report. The report is available at http://epa.gov/climatechange/emissions/usinventoryreport.html.
