Waste Management Awards $150K in Grants to KAB

Houston-based Waste Management (WM) has awarded a total of $150,000 in grants to 15 Keep America Beautiful (KAB) affiliates. According to a KAB press release, WM’s Think Green Community Improvement Grants are designed to “encourage local solutions to improving community environments.”

Forty-two KAB affiliates applied for the grants, and the recipients will use the grants for “a wide array of stewardship, community outreach and educational projects,” the press release says.

The recipients are:

• Keep Athens-Limestone Beautiful (Alabama)
• Keep The Shoals Beautiful (Alabama)

• I Love A Clean San Diego
• Keep California Beautiful (Long Beach, Calif. )
• Keep Winter Park Beautiful (Florida)

• Keep Hillsborough County Beautiful (Florida)
• Keep Citrus County Beautiful (Florida)
• Keep Martin Beautiful (Florida)
• Keep Miami Gardens Beautiful (Florida)
• Keep Orlando Beautiful (Florida)
• Keep Cobb Beautiful (Georgia)
• Brightside, Inc. (Louisville, Ky.)
• Keep Dorchester County Beautiful (South Carolina)

• Keep Pearland Beautiful (Texas)

• Keep Suffolk Beautiful (Virginia)
