The Original Pancake House DFW (OPH-DFW) has created a program entitled Recycling for the Future to collect old cell phones. The proceeds from the program will go toward supporting local homeless shelters.

In order to encourage customers to participate, OPH-DFW is offering participants up to three $10 gift certificates. Customers can exchange their old phones for gift certificates at any of OPH-DFW’s eight locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

"At OPH-DFW we recognize our responsibility to leave our children and grandchildren an environment in which they can thrive. The Recycling for the Future program provides a win-win opportunity as we are able to use the proceeds to assist those that need a helping hand in our local community," said Jonathan Seyoum, co-owner of OPH-DFW, in a statement.
