BioHiTech Global, Inc., a green technology company that develops and deploys innovative and disruptive waste management technologies, has rolled out BioHiTech Alto, an interactive industrial communication technology that allows users to intelligently communicate with industrial equipment in real-time.

"We are pleased to introduce this exciting new technology that we believe will jumpstart the adoption of Internet-enabled industrial equipment; not only for our own products, but for any piece of industrial machinery," said Bill Kratzer, chief technology officer of BioHiTech Global, in a press release. "Alto uses messaging and chatbot technology to reduce the friction that is typically associated with industrial equipment monitoring, management and control. Through this technology, we believe that we can not only make our machines smarter, but also help make our customers smarter by empowering them with better and smarter interactions that deliver more meaningful insights."

BioHiTech Alto is a new component of the company’s comprehensive food waste solution Eco-Safe Digester, which uses data and analytics to help drive smarter business decisions and divert food waste from landfills. BioHiTech Alto enhances the Eco-Safe Digester by enabling real-time interactive communication to improve unit performance levels, professing statistics and maintenance routines via Wi-Fi.

In the future, the company plans to integrate BioHiTech Alto into its BioHiTech Cirrus mobile analytics app and Slack, a real-time messaging and collaboration digital platform.
