Seattle Goes Green(er)

Seattle recently held a sale offering residents Green Cone Food Composters and Yard Waste Bins at a 75 percent discount. The city hopes to encourage residents to reduce food and yard waste by providing a “home” for residuals. The green cone food composting and yard waste program was designed to help the Emerald City reach its goal of recycling 60 percent of all waste generated by business and residents.
