Philadelphia-based RecycleBank has announced Kraft Foods is its official food sponsor. RecycleBank officials say Kraft was chosen as a sponsor because of its approach to sustainability and packaging initiatives.

“RecycleBank provides its [sponsors] with an outlet to directly reach consumers and to promote environmental efforts,” said Ron Gonen, co-founder and CEO of RecycleBank, in a press release. “Partnering with RecycleBank gives companies like Kraft an opportunity to strengthen its holistic marketing efforts while helping to ensure a more sustainable future.”

RecycleBank is a recycling program that tracks the amount of recyclables for a community and rewards its residents with points that can be used at hundreds of local and national retailers.
