New Orleans to End Curbside Glass Recycling in French Quarter and Downtown Development District

On January 14, the City of New Orleans Department of Sanitation will begin accepting glass at the city’s recycling drop-off center.

Due to low participation rates, the City of New Orleans will end curbside glass recycling in the French Quarter and Downtown Development District (DDD) on January 12. And on January 14, the City of New Orleans Department of Sanitation will begin accepting glass at the city’s recycling drop-off center on the second Saturday of each month from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. CT.

In addition to glass, residents can drop off paper products, plastics #1 through #7, metals, cardboard, boxboard, Mardi Gras beads, batteries, light bulbs, electronics and tires.
