American Biogas Council Honors EFI Founder & President Dennis Shanklin with Lifetime Achievement Award

GASTON, S.C. (June 24, 2024) – EFI USA, LLC (EFI), a leader in the containment and lagoon-based digester industries, and its president and founder, Dennis Shanklin, were recognized by the American Biogas Council at its recent BIOGAS AMERICAS conference.

The American Biogas Council (ABC) represents more than 400 companies in the U.S. biogas industry dedicated to maximizing carbon reduction and economic growth using biogas systems. BIOGAS AMERICAS, the ABC’s annual tradeshow and conference, took place May 13-16 in Savannah, Georgia, bringing together nearly 2,000 biogas and renewable natural gas professionals from more than 30 countries.

The American Biogas Council presented Shanklin with its inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award to honor individuals who have made a significant impact within the industry. The award was presented by Bernie Sheff, PE, chair of the ABC board of directors, who recognized Shanklin as a pioneer in technology development with 30+ years of leadership and service to the industry.

“It’s an honor to receive this award from my peers in the renewable gas industry, which has seen exponential growth over the last five years” said Shanklin. “It’s been exciting to play a part in that growth, and we look forward to continuing to push the industry forward.”
