The Solid Waste Processing Division of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers has named the Polk County (Minn.) Solid Waste Resources Recovery Plant and the Southeastern Connecticut Regional Resources Recovery Facility the winners of its 2006 Facility Recognition Awards. The awards are given out at the 14th annual North American Waste-to-Energy Conference in Tampa, Fla., and are based on innovation and environmental performance.
