Calif. Boy Refers to Garbage Man as his Best Friend

Rylan Checchia, a young Lake Elsinore, Calif., resident, has created a special relationship with his neighborhood garbage man.

On Tuesdays, Rylan sits outside his home at 8 a.m. to meet his garbage man, who moves the truck’s mechanical arm and gives Rylan a friendly wave.

Rylan refers to his neighborhood garbage man as “awesome” and “his best friend.”

A boy from Lake Elsinore has a unique bond with his neighborhood garbage man.

Every Tuesday morning, Rylan Checchia is up and out the door by 8 a.m. to await the arrival of the trash truck.

The trash man likes to put on a show for Rylan, moving the truck's mechanical arm to the awe of the child.
