Carol Fearns To Leave SWANA

Silver Spring, Md. — Carol Fearns, COO of the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA), Silver Spring, Md., announced Wednesday that she will become the COO of Gifts in Kind International, Alexandria, Va., in July. Gifts in Kind acquires products and services from corporation and donates them to charitable organizations.

"Carol has done a wonderful job as SWANA’s COO over the last five and half years," says John Skinner, executive director and CEO of SWANA. "She has moved SWANA forward in many areas and is well respected and liked by members as well as staff. We are all grateful for her contributions and wish her only the best of success."

SWANA will conduct a nationwide search for Fearns’ replacement.
