The Environmental Research and Education Foundation (EREF) has moved its office to Raleigh, N.C., from Alexandria, Va. “I’m extremely excited about moving EREF to the dynamic city of Raleigh,” said Michael Cagney, president and CEO of EREF, in a press release. “The [Research] Triangle is an epicenter for firms that focus on environmental issues and the Southeast has a high concentration of solid waste firms that support EREF’s research and educational endeavors.”

EREF is a 501(c)3 class charity that supports research to develop and evaluate new approaches to manage solid waste and funds scholarships for advanced degrees in environmental science and engineering.
