IESI acquires Allied Waste’s NYC operations

IESI Corporation, of Fort Worth, Texas, announced today that it has acquired the New York City commercial waste hauling operations of Phoenix-based Allied Waste Industries, Inc. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

"We are pleased with this acquisition as the integrated operations will provide improved density and efficiencies to our current operations in the New York City market," said Mickey Flood, IESI's President and Chief Executive Officer, in a press release.

IESI has been operating in the New York market for ten years.
