New Chairs Named

The National Solid Wastes Management Association (NSWMA), Waste Equipment Technology Association (WASTEC) and their parent organization, the Environmental Industry Associations (EIA), all have named new chairmen.

At NSWMA, Jim W. Perry, who has been on the board of directors for many years and serves as president and CEO of Waste Industries USA, will become chairman on Jan. 1.

Meanwhile, Michael L. Knaub, senior vice president - managing director Waste Technology Division, Schaefer Systems International, will take over as chairman of WASTEC.

Finally, EIA recently announced that Michael Paine, president of waste handling company Paine's Inc., will be its new chairman. He also has served as chairman of NSWMA.

All three men will begin their terms on Jan. 1.
