Arlington, VA – The National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) joined the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to celebrate the agency’s 2020 Safe + Sound campaign. Safe + Sound Week, which is being held the week of August 10, is an effort to encourage every workplace to have a safety and health program.

“NWRA is committed to workplace safety and wants every employee to come home safely at the end of his or her shift. That commitment is reflected in our partnership with OSHA,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith.

NWRA became a member of the OSHA Alliance last fall to support workplace safety. NWRA will promote OSHA’s Safe + Sound campaign through social media. Follow NWRA on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter for safety and health tips, and follow the campaign’s official hashtag #SafeAndSoundAtWork to learn more about Safe + Sound Week.
