NWRA Signs Agreement with Michigan Waste and Recycling Association
NWRA and MWRA partner to continue to advocate for solutions to issues affecting the waste and recycling industry.
The National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) issued the following statement after signing a memorandum of understanding with the Michigan Waste and Recycling Association (MWRA) with quotes from NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith, MWRA President Kevin Kendall and the chair of NWRA’s Services Board of Governors Terry Guerin.
“I am pleased to sign this memorandum of understanding between our two organizations. It is often said that all waste is local. We look forward to supporting the Michigan association at the local level as well as communicating their interests at the national level,” said Smith in a statement.
“MWRA is most excited to partner with NWRA to share knowledge and resources as we work together to find solutions for the complex issues facing our industry. We both look forward to continuing to advocate for solutions to issues affecting our industry, seeking solutions that benefit our society and our environment,” said Kendall in a statement.
“I am excited that the MOU has been signed. The implementation of the terms of this document will enhance the lines of communication between our two organizations. It’s a timely event. We look forward to working with our new colleagues,” stated Guerin.
