PC Scale acquires TransComp Systems

Oxford, Pa.-based scale house software developer PC Scale has announced the acquisition of TransComp Systems, a route management software developer based in Orange, Calif. TransComp is best known for its Tower 6.0 software. Representatives of both companies say they expect the merger to lead to greater integration between the two software suites.

“Tower software has always been recognized for its advanced features and ease of use,” said PC Scale CEO and founder Donald P. Tefft, in a press release announcing the deal. “With PC Scale’s reputation for custom development and outstanding customer support, we are confident that our offerings will be the best available.”

TransComp’s David Navarro will lead the new TransComp Systems Division of PC Scale as its president. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
