Reports Reveals New Zealanders Must Switch to a Low-Carbon Economy

Transition to a low-carbon economy for New Zealand, a report conducted by the Royal Society of New Zealand, reveals that New Zealanders need to make the effort to switch to a low-carbon economy to reduce the threat of climate change.
In order to reduce this climate change threat, the report suggests making agricultural trade-offs, such as reducing the number of cows.
In addition to that change, the Wellington City Council is pushing to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 80 percent by 2050.

All New Zealanders must be prepared to make trade-offs to have a chance at stemming the effects of climate change, a new report says.
There's a desperate need to take immediate action to reduce the threat, and shift to a low-carbon economy, according the Royal Society of New Zealand report, published on Wednesday.
The report, Transition to a low-carbon economy for New Zealand, has been written by a panel of experts chaired by Massey University professor and climate change expert Ralph Sims.
