Stellar Reveals NXT68 Hooklift at WasteExpo

WasteExpo continues to be the industry's opportunity to bring out the big guns as companies want to show off their newest products during the event. Stellar Industries (Stellar) didn’t waste the chance to do so as the company brought its newest and biggest solution yet. One that is sure to lift the entire industry, because it can.

Nestled firmly onto the WasteExpo show floor was Stellar’s booth which boasted some impressive trucks, including one equipped with the all new NXT68 Hooklift, first revealed at this year’s event. The debuting NXT68 Hooklift offers an unmatched load height of 12.5” with a lift capacity of 68,000 lbs. at 62” hook height and 57,000 lbs. at 54” hook height. Additionally, the NXT68 features 68,000 lbs. of dump capacity.

While the hook does the heavy lifting for you, the NXT68 also offers other timesaving conveniences to its users. Users of the NXT68 will appreciate the speed enhancement of the hook lift as its lift cylinders feature integrated speed enhancements, lowering the cycle extension time by 75%. Air controls of the hook lift allow the user-enhanced precision metering of manual hydraulic valves. Plus, the NXT68 is designed for ease via its universal latching system, using its bolt-on adjustable body locks and precise customization for exterior lock adjustments.

Plus, utilizing a Z-rail design, the base of the NXT68 comes pre-drilled for easy installation onto the chassis and accommodates the placement of body saddles as needed.

The NXT68 was joined by the NXT52 Hooklift at Stellar’s WasteExpo booth, which offers another option to those in the industry looking to take on the demands of material handling in waste and recycling. The NXT52 touts a 52,000 lbs. capacity and provides a below-grade hook bar approach. The NXT52 is designed to accommodate 16’ – 22’ bodies for 174” – 214” CT chassis, bringing along its 10.5” lost load height. The bolt-on body block offers flexibility and compatibility for a wide range of solutions across the waste industry.

The joystick control system Davison is referring to is a new feature for its hooklifts that streamlines operations with a single joystick to govern all hooklift functions. The joystick is engineered for comfort and ease as it’s mounted on an adjustable base allowing operators to customize its position to fit their preference. The electronic joystick control system is initially available on the NXT52 and plans are in progress to bring the control system to additional Stellar Hooklift models.
