A waste vehicle in Carbon County, PA made an unusual pickup – a black bear.

With more people outside due to COVID-19, there have been many bear sightings this year. And as bears prepare for hibernation they are searching for food this time of the year. City officials believe the bear was tired of finding small amounts of trash in garbage pails and went for a large prize with the waste vehicle.

With the bear on top of the truck, the waste vehicle traveled to the police department for assistance. The driver backed the vehicle near a tree and the bear climbed down safely.
