Wastequip, Cleveland, has acquired Pioneer Cover-All, a manufacturer of tarping systems. Wastequip will keep the Pioneer brand name, and Pioneer's Lenny Brescia will be named president.
Mid America Recycling Company, Des Moines, Iowa, has announced the purchase of Waste Management Recycle America's paper recovery facility located in Fort Worth, Texas.
The Delaware Solid Waste Management Authority held a ribbon-cutting ceremony in July for a new transfer station, which is expected to open in early August. The site is permitted to accept 500 tons of solid waste per day.
Sloatsburg, N.Y.-based Interstate Waste Services Holding Co. Inc. has opened a transfer station in Jersey City, N.J., which can accept up to 1,700 tons of municipal solid waste per day.
