Atlanta City Council Authorizes $1.25M Task Order to Monitor, Maintain Landfills

Arcadis G&M Inc. and Brindley Pieters & Associates Inc. will monitor and maintain the landfills until their contract ends in November 2018.

The Atlanta City Council has authorized a $1.25 million task order to monitor and maintain the city’s four landfills.

For the new task order, Arcadis G&M Inc. and Brindley Pieters & Associates Inc. will monitor the groundwater and surface water, provide preventative, unscheduled and emergency maintenance, maintain the flares that burn off waste gas and perform other tasks that are needed at the Key Road, Cascade Road, Gun Club Road and East Confederate Avenue landfills until November 2018, when its contract ends.

The Atlanta City Council has authorized a $1.25 million task order to monitor and maintain four city-owned landfills.

The Department of Public Works requires architectural and engineering services for “post-closure care and maintenance” of the landfills, according to a resolution approved by the Council on Monday.
