In need of a place to dispose of hurricane debris, the Gulf Coast landfill was reopened, leaving community members upset.

After Hurricane Ian ran a rampage through Florida, many communities were left with more waste materials than they knew what could be done with. In order to help resolve this issue, theĀ Gulf Coast landfill has been reopened. However, many of the Pelican Preserve community residents were unsure how to feel. Many residents came together to express discontent with the decision.
