Advanced Disposal Buys Waste Haulers in Georgia, Pennsylvania
Advanced Disposal Services Inc. has purchased two more waste haulers, in Georgia and Pennsylvania.
The Ponte Vedra, Fla.-based Advanced Disposal said in news releases that it acquired certain assets of G & C Industries Inc., East Norriton Twp., Pa., to extend the company’s presence in the greater Philadelphia area. It also bought certain assets of AAA Sanitation Inc., Ball Ground, Ga., expanding the company’s north Georgia footprint.
The purchase prices were not disclosed.
Advanced Disposal will use the East Norriton facility of G & C Industries, also known as G & C Waste Services, to operate the 20 routes acquired in the transaction. The acquisition involves 23,000 residential customers and 1,300 commercial and industrial customers in Berks, Bucks, Montgomery, Lehigh, Delaware, Chester and Philadelphia counties. The company will dispose of most collected and non-recycled waste at its Western Berks Landfill in Birdsboro, Pa. The firm said40 G & C Waste Services employees will join Advanced Disposal.
“This is a significant acquisition for our company and presents a strategic move to grow our market share in the greater Philadelphia area,” said Dave Lavender, Advanced Disposal regional vice president.
AAA Sanitation includes 1,300 residential customers and 237 commercial customers in the Dawsonville and Dahlonega, Ga. areas. Advanced Disposal will serve the routes from its Ball Ground hauling location.
“AAA Sanitation provided an opportunity for further route density in our north Georgia market,” said Charlie Gray, Advanced Disposal regional vice president.
