Carolinas Recycling Group to merge with Atlantic Scrap

Lyman, S.C.-based Carolinas Recycling Group has announced plans to merge with Atlantic Scrap and Processing of North Carolina. The combined scrap processing company will be able to handle an estimated 1.2 million tons of ferrous scrap and 230 million pounds of nonferrous scrap annually according to the Anderson Independent Mail.

Officials from both companies expect to complete the merger in the first quarter of 2007.
