Solid Waste Management Firm SCS Engineers Buys Aquaterra Environmental

Solid waste management firm SCS Engineers has bought Aquaterra Environmental Solutions Inc. for an undisclosed amount.

The Long Beach, Calif.-based SCS said in a news release that Overland Park, Kan.-based Aquaterra, which also focuses on solid waste management and environmental engineering and consulting, joined SCS and will now operate under a new name, SCS Aquaterra.
Aquaterra has almost 75 employees across 10 offices in seven states.

 “Aquaterra’s business philosophy, company culture, and core values are a good match with our own,” said Jim Walsh, SCS president and CEO. “We whole-heartedly welcome Aquaterra to our SCS family.”
