Vehicle vision systems maker Velvac Inc. has acquired the assets of ViewMaster mirror product line from the former Mirror Lite Co. Inc. for an undisclosed amount.

The New Berlin, Wis.-based Velvac said in a news release that the ViewMaster mirrors are used in the waste market, as well as on other heavy and medium-duty trucks.

Velvac said it now offers the waste industry’s broadest line of rearview mirror products, covering original equipment vehicle applications for a full range of waste and recycling vehicles.

Mirror Lite was headquartered in Rockwood, Mich. Rosco Inc. bought the firm in late 2012.

“The refuse market has a number of unique and critical vision system requirements,” said Jeff Porter, Velvac president and CEO. “The acquisition of the ViewMaster product line strengthens our presence – positioning Velvac as the leading tier-one vision system provider to this segment.”
