Waste Pro USA Inc. has acquired Acadian Waste Disposal Service for an undisclosed amount.

The Longwood, Fla.-based Waste Pro bought the Geismer, La.-based Acadian, which is near the city of Gonzales, between Baton Rouge and New Orleans. Acadian specializes in residential, commercial, and industrial waste disposal and has been in business since 1992, Waste Pro said in a news release.

Included in the purchase were Acadian’s administrative offices, containers, and front and rear load vehicles.

“This recent acquisition will compliment Waste Pro’s current operation in Kenner, La., and allow for greater service flexibility in surrounding parishes,” said John J. Jennings, Waste Pro president and CEO.
Waste Pro operates in seven southeastern states, serving more than 1.8 million customers from 91 operating locations.
