Paper Recycling, Packaging Maker Rock Tenn Names New CEO

Paper recycling and packaging maker Rock Tenn Co. has named Steven Voorhees president and CEO.

The Norcross, Ga.-based company said in a news release Voorhees will assume oversight for Rock Tenn’s operating businesses, including recycling, corrugated packaging and consumer packaging.

Voorhees joined Rock Tenn as executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) in 2000 and added chief administrative officer responsibilities in 2008.

“Steve is an outstanding leader and has been instrumental in building Rock Tenn over his 12 year career as CFO,” said Jim Rubright, Rock Tenn  chairman and CEO.

Rock Tenn employs 26,000 in six countries.
