According to the most recent U.S. Environmental Protection Agency data, the U.S. only recycles an estimated 14 percent of plastic packaging. Additionally, a garbage truck of plastic waste enters our oceans every minute. In this session, you’ll hear directly from experts of the U.S. Plastics Pact and peer representatives about how they are moving from strategy to action. They will share success stories illustrating ambitious actions taken to ensure 100 percent of plastic packaging will be reusable, recyclable or compostable. It will take everyone to close the loop; join your colleagues for this important session.

Speaker:
Amanda Jordan, Circular Economy Project Manager, City of Phoenix
Emily Tipaldo, Executive Director, U.S. Plastics Pact, The Recycling Partnership
Lynn Hoffman, Co-President, Eureka Recycling
Patrick Keenan, Packaging Engineer, Sustainability, General Mills
