IMPD Investigates Death of Plastic Recycling Inc. Employee

The IMPD’s early investigation shows that the machine the employee was trying to clear of a jam was turned off but somehow got reactivated.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) is investigating the death of a Plastic Recycling Inc. employee. The IMPD’s early investigation shows that the machine the employee was trying to clear of a jam was turned off but somehow got reactivated.

WISH has more information:

An Indianapolis recycling facility employee was killed early Thursday morning in a workplace accident, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

The Plastic Recycling Inc. worker’s identity was not immediately released.

IMPD said its officers received a call to respond just after 1:30 a.m. They were told the accident was fatal before their arrival.
