Casella Waste Posts Fourth-Quarter Loss 5088

Rutland, Vt. -- Casella Waste, Rutland, Vt., has posted a smaller fourth-quarter loss than it did for the same period last year. The company also has forecast 2006 revenue to be in the range of $500 million to $520 million, which exceeds Wall Street’s forecast of $490.3 million.

The company’s loss was 5 cents per share for a total of $1.2 million, compared to last year’s fourth-quarter loss of 25 cents per share for a total of $6.1 million. Casella’s sales increased 6 percent over the same quarter last year.
