Casella Waste Reports First Quarter Results

Rutland, Vt. – Casella Waste Systems Inc. has reported revenues of $132 million for the first quarter of its 2006 fiscal year, up from $123.7 million for the same quarter last year. The company’s net income per common share was $0.09, and operating income was $13.1 million.

According to Casella Waste Systems, the company expects between $500 million and $520 million in revenues for the fiscal year. Casella also is predicting between $112 million and $116 million in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA).
