Republic Reports Fourth Quarter Gains

Republic Services, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., has reported a net income of $82.1 million on revenues of $796 million for fourth-quarter 2007, both increases from $66.9 million on revenues of $766 million for the same quarter in 2006.

For the year, the firm reported a net income of $290 million on revenues of $3.2 billion, compared to $280 million on revenues of $3.1 billion in 2006.
