Veolia ES Technical Solution’s hazardous waste facility in Gurabo, Puerto Rico, has been accepted into the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (PR OSHA) Voluntary Protection Program (VPP).

“Companies under this program have achieved injury and illness rates at or below the national average for their type of industry,” says a Veolia press release.

“By receiving the PR OSHA VPP certification, Veolia ES Technical Solutions is the only environmental services firm on the island that has achieved this status,” said Tomas Rivera, branch manager for the company’s Puerto Rico operations, in a press release. “This accomplishment illustrates our ongoing commitment to health and safety programs at our facilities.”
