Waste Industries Announces Delay In Annual Report Filing

Raleigh, N.C. — Waste Industries USA Inc., Raleigh, N.C., has informed the Securities and Exchange Commission that there will be a delay in the filing of the company’s Form 10-K (its annual report) for fiscal year 2004. The company expects to file the form on or before April 15.

According to a press release, the firm “ expects to report net income of $11.8 million … for the year ended Dec. 31, 2004, which is approximately $1.4 million less than the net income of $13.2 million” that the company announced in a March press release.
