Waste, Recycling Consultants WIH, ET Form Partnership
Waste and recycling services firm WIH Resource Group Inc. and design/build firm ET Environmental Corp. LLC have formed a partnership to better provide for customers complete solid waste, recycling and alternative energy solutions.
The focus on the partnership will be project feasibility analysis and return on investment, engineering design, procurement, construction management, and operations and maintenance. Those services can aid clients that may not have those resources in-house, according to a news release.
“The combination of ET Environmental’s engineering expertise, depth of experience and technical knowledge, coupled with WIH Resource Group’s waste management, recycling, operational, transportation and financial analytical capabilities makes for a powerful combination,” said Bob Wallace, WIH principal & vice president of client solutions. “This partnership will benefit both public and private sector waste and recycling management organizations and companies throughout North America.” Added Bill Higginbotham, ET president and CEO, “ET Environmental and WIH Resource Group have similar cultures with separate and distinct service strengths. Our partnership creates a strategic approach that combines those strengths into a sum that’s greater than the separate parts.”
ET Environmental is based in Atlanta and has engineers and construction managers in 14 offices in the United States and Canada. The company focuses on the design and construction of alternative fueling infrastructure and maintenance facilities. It also serves all areas of the solid waste industry, including transfer stations, material recycling facilities, landfill projects, environmental remediation and decontamination, landfill gas to energy, leachate treatment, and rail haul infrastructure.
Phoenix-based WIH provides environmental, waste management, recycling, transportation, financial and logistical solutions. Those include day-to-day business challenges, mergers and acquisition services, expert witness, feasibility studies, renewable natural gas, disposal management, business valuations, advertising, customer satisfaction surveys, as well as diverse range of other client-specific solutions.
Last year WIH formed a partnership with software firm C2Logix Inc. to offer waste management companies a single platform for business help. The Fairfax, Va.-based C2 Logix provides route optimization software.
The latest other example of a waste management partnership involves automaker Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky Inc. and Waste Services of the Bluegrass (WSB) to generate power for its facility from local landfill waste. That came online last month, marking the region’s first business-to-business landfill gas-to-energy initiative.
