Longwood, Fla.-based Waste Pro is using solar energy to provide most of its Bradenton, Fla., office’s electricity needs.

The solar energy is collected via a system of flat, photovoltaic panels that are on the building’s roof. According to a press release, the panels cover 5,000 square feet and will provide 120 kilowatt hours of electricity per day. The panels are “extremely light sensitive and [are] designed to produce energy even in low light, including a full moon.” Energy that is not used will be sent to the local utility grid.
